Welcome

Herron High School is a public charter school located in downtown Indianapolis, providing a classical liberal arts, college preparatory education. The school's curriculum is structured around an art history timeline and emphasizes the classic art and literature of many cultures. Through an integrated curriculum and classical methodology, Herron High School believes that all students can learn to think logically, express themselves creatively, appreciate aesthetics fully, and approach any subject intelligently.

MAY 4 SCHOOL CANCELLED DUE TO GAS LEAK
Today, Monday May 4th Herron experienced a gas leak that caused an evacuation minutes before the start of the school day. The fire department and the gas company say we will not be allowed in the building for the rest of the day. Students taking AP tests are safely at Harrison Center and are completing the examination as scheduled. All classes are cancelled for today only. We expect to have classes as normal tomorrow May 5th

Summer Jobs with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful
Keep Indianapolis Beautiful is seeking high school youth and adult leaders to help preserve and maintain trees this summer with the Youth Tree Team program. The Youth Tree Team is a ten-week program, running from June 1st -August 6th. Participants will receive a free lunch each work day, and will earn $7.50 per hour for their work! Recycling at HHS
Herron has switched recycling companies; we have chosen a company that allows for larger and more diverse volume in order to better serve our school?s needs and those of the neighboring community. We can accept and recycle all of the following materials in our new bin: Newspaper, Magazines, Catalogs, Junk Mail, Envelopes, Folders, Fax and Copy Paper, Color Paper, Plastic Drinking Bottles, Phone Books, Aluminum & Steel Cans *Please do not put cardboard in the bin.
