Enrollment Dates for 2013-2014 School Year
Open Enrollment for Freshmen (Class of 2017)
October 23 – November 12
Fill out an application online here, or bring, fax or mail your completed application to Herron High School during open enrollment. Students who apply after open enrollment will be admitted if spaces are available. When Herron High School enrollment reaches capacity, applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
November 30, 2012
Acceptance letters will be mailed to incoming freshmen.
Lottery (if necessary)
December 3, 2012
If applications received exceed spaces available, a lottery will take place at Herron High School, as required by Indiana Charter School Law. The time and location of the lottery will be announced to all applicants.
February 8, 2013
To secure your accepted status, the following information is due:
- Middle school grades (6th, 7th and first semester of 8th grade)
- Most recent standardized testing scores (e.g., ISTEP, Iowa, IMAST, ISTAR, Stanford, Acuity, LAS Links, NWEA, ECA (if Algebra I and English 10 were completed) etc.
- Immunization records
- Copy of birth certificate
- Copy of IEP or 504, if applicable for special education resources
Mid- to Late-April
Course selection and placement exams for incoming freshmen will take place at Herron High School.
Herron High School accepts applications for transfer students. If you are interested in transferring, please submit an application along with an official transcript, including attendance and disciplinary reports, immunization records, a copy of your birth certificate and a copy of your IEP or 504, if applicable.
