Athletics

Our Herron High School athletics teams compete and excel against local competition and participate in IHSAA state championship competition. Our teams have had increasing success in recent years. In Fall 2023, the boys soccer team set a school record with 11 wins and scored 78 total goals, our boys tennis team won a sectional game in its second year as a program and our cross country team had a runner qualify for states for the first time in Herron history. 

Participating in high school athletics offers numerous benefits for students, including promoting physical fitness, instilling discipline, and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.

At Herron High School, our athletics program grows more each year, playing a vital role in shaping our school culture. With an emphasis on both competitive excellence and personal and academic development, our athletics program provides students with opportunities to challenge themselves, build resilience, and showcase their talents on and off the field.
