Graduation - Herron High School

Commencement is Herron High School’s most special tradition and a celebration of the many accomplishments of our graduating scholars. Parents, guardians and members of the Class of 2019, mark your calendars for these important dates leading up to this special celebration.

Commencement Tickets, Cap, Gown, and Tassel Pick-up:  April 16-17 2019, Russell Hall

Tuesday, April 16, 2019:  4:15-6:00 p.m.

Wednesday, April 17, 2019: 7:30-9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., 4:15-6:00 p.m.

Tickets, cap, gown, and tassel (black cap and gown, white tassel) must be picked up—and signed out—by each senior’s parent/guardian, and must be picked up during one of the times listed above.   Lost items cannot be replaced.

Each graduating senior is entitled to up to 10 tickets for guests at Commencement. Please return unused tickets so others may use them.  Seating is general admission.

A request form will be available at Cap and Gown Pick-up for those who want up to four additional tickets.  Depending on availability—there is no guarantee—requested tickets will be distributed a week before graduation.

2019 Key Dates and Deadlines

April 12:  Herff Jones distribution of announcements and graduation items other than caps and gowns in cafeteria during lunch.

April 15:  FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) submission deadline

April 16-17:  Cap, gown, tassel, and commencement tickets pick-up at Herron.

May 1:  College Decision Day

May 3:  Senior Breakfast, 8:30-10:00a.m.

May 20:  Awards Night, 6:30p.m.

Wednesday, May 22:   Senior group photo 12:15p.m. at school.  Commencement rehearsal, 1:00 – 3:00p.m. at Murat Theatre

Wednesday, May 22:  Commencement Ceremony, 7p.m. in the Murat Theatre at the Old National Center, 502 N New Jersey Street.
