Drawing from over 120 different middle schools across Central Indiana, Herron High School offers a rich environment designed to expose students to a wide variety of thoughts and perspectives.

Herron High School is recognized for academic excellence. We have high expectations for our students and multiple structures in place to help students meet those expectations. With small class sizes, individualized attention, and a nurturing environment, our culture supports rigorous academics and provides all students with the tools for success.

As a college-preparatory school, our students are required to take four years of English, Latin, mathematics, science and social studies. In addition to core classes, students may take two elective classes each semester. We offer a rich selection of college-level courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, across all disciplines.

Herron High School is one of the top public high schools in the country. We have earned an “A” rating and “Four Star School” designation by the Indiana Department of Education and rank in the top 2 percent of schools nationwide in rankings by U.S. News and World Report.
