Fine Arts

Our Fine Arts Department is a thriving, vital part of our school culture. Scholars have the opportunity to participate in performing and visual arts classes and have a wide range of after-school arts activities at their fingertips.

At Herron High School, we believe that engaging in the arts not only cultivates creativity and self-expression but also fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and discipline. Studies show that students involved in fine arts programs demonstrate higher academic achievement and improved social skills.

Our wide array of fine arts offerings also go hand in hand with our commitment to college preparation, as scholars who participate in fine arts programs are equipped with valuable skills such as problem-solving, adaptability, and effective communication. Colleges and universities recognize the importance of arts education in developing well-rounded individuals, and many look for applicants with a background in the arts.

Whether you're harmonizing in choir, painting a masterpiece, or taking the stage in a play, fine arts education at Herron High School provides a unique and enriching experience that sets our scholars up for success in both their academic and personal journeys.
